Counsel #4 — The Two Seals

Picture: Counsel #4 — The Two SealsCCW 73.1

In Ephesians 1:13, 14, belief in Jesus and the gospel results in receiving the Holy Spirit who is the seal, or guarantee, of heaven. Some think more about an end-time seal in the forehead (representing the mind) before Jesus returns (Revelation 7:3). But if you are experiencing the Holy Spirit guiding your life now, at the end of time the Holy Spirit will also give you the seal for those keeping the commandments of God (including the Sabbath) and having the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14:12).[102]https://www.ministrymagazine.org/archive/2017/12/sealsCCW 73.2

“Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.” 2 Corinthians 1:21, 22 NKJVCCW 73.3

[After quoting Ephesians 1:13] “What is the seal of the living God, which is placed in the foreheads of His people? It is a mark which angels, but not human eyes, can read; for the destroying angel must see this mark of redemption. The intelligent mind has seen the sign of the cross of Calvary in the Lord’s adopted sons and daughters. The sin of the transgression of the law of God is taken away. They have on the wedding garment, and are obedient and faithful to all God’s commands.” Ellen White in Letters and Manuscripts, Volume 13, Letter 126, 1898, par. 4CCW 73.4

Reflect: Do you sense the Holy Spirit's guidance in your life at this moment? If He seems distant, consider taking a few moments every day to pray and seek His direction in your life.CCW 73.5
