Counsel #28 — Forever Faithful Friend

Picture: Counsel #28 — FOREVER FAITHFUL FRIENDCR 46.1

Unlike human relationships that may falter, God’s friendship is steadfast and eternal. He knows you completely—your joys, struggles, and fears—and loves you unconditionally. Through His Word and Spirit, He offers wisdom, reassurance, and strength.[170]https://adventistreview.org/magazine-article/sometimes-bitten/CR 46.2

God promises to never leave nor forsake you, and you can know that He will always listen when you pray, celebrate your victories, and walk with you through life’s trials. Whenever you feel lonely, depressed, or hopeless, turn to God in prayer so He can provide His peace and understanding. Once you strengthen your relationship with God, you will feel that His presence brings a sense of inner contentment regardless of the negative things that may be happening in your life. Just like with any human relationship, you must spend time with God and intentionally seek Him through worship, devotion, and prayer. God is the only Friend that will transform your heart, sustain your joy, and help you become your best self.CR 46.3

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8 NIVCR 46.4

“If we choose to live with Christ through the ceaseless ages of eternity, why not choose Him now as our most loved and trusted friend, our best and wisest counselor.” Ellen White in Lift Him Up, p. 98CR 46.5

Reflect: Have you made God your friend? It’s never too late!CR 46.6
