Counsel #19 — Paid In Full

Picture: Counsel #19 — Paid in FullCR 130.1

Life's pressures and challenges may weigh heavily on us as parents, but we find peace knowing that through Jesus' death, we receive forgiveness and strength to persevere. His sacrifice paid the price for our sins (Romans 6:23) and accepting this gift restores us to a loving relationship with Him. In gratitude for His grace, we love and obey Him!CR 130.2

As parents, we can model this selfless love to our teens. The more we learn of what it meant for Jesus to become sin for us, the better we can pass on that “Good News” to our teens. Despite their imperfections, we can love them unconditionally, just as God loves us. We can guide them with patience and love, remembering that we too are flawed and in need of God's mercy. By teaching our teens about Jesus' sacrifice and His love for them personally, we can help them develop a genuine faith that will sustain them throughout their lives.[124]https://rootedministry.com/it-is-finished-teaching-jesus-words-of-the-cross-to-teenagers/CR 130.3

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 NIVCR 130.4

“Jesus, the precious Saviour… estimated man by the price he paid for his redemption” Ellen White in The Signs of the Times, March 9, 1888, par. 7CR 130.5
