    Counsel #6 — Pray For God’s Guidance

    Picture: Counsel #6 — Pray for God’s GuidanceCR 69.1

Ask God to guide you in finding love. Don’t put emphasis on dreams, chance encounters, or shared tastes. Just because you are attracted to someone does not mean that God would want you to be in a relationship with them. If that individual is not a practicing Christian, urges you to have sex before marriage, negates your relationship with Jesus, or violates other key indicators of Christianity, God didn’t bring them to you. Don’t fall for just a smooth talker or a beautiful face!CR 69.2

God is deeply interested in every facet of your life. He hears your prayers for guidance and will respond in His timing. You can completely trust the hands that were nailed to the cross for you![67]https://am.adventistmission.org/mqa21q2-22CR 69.3

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” Psalms 32:8 NKJVCR 69.4

“Keep your wants, your joys, your sorrows, your cares, and your fears before God…. Take to Him everything that perplexes the mind.” Ellen G. White in Steps to Christ, p. 100CR 69.5

Reflect: Are you constantly asking God to direct your path in finding love? Are you asking Him to grow you into “the right person”?CR 69.6
