Counsel #16 — Slow And Steady

Picture: Counsel #16 — Slow And SteadyCWe 86.1

We live in a society driven by instant gratification, where impatience and frustration frequently arise when results don’t appear quickly enough. Sustainable progress, however, is not a race but a journey. It results from the time and effort you continuously put into practice.CWe 86.2

Quick fixes or extreme measures such as getting plastic surgery or taking hormone pills create an unrealistic perspective and expectation regarding authentic progress. Choosing the “easy way out” only leads to frustration, burnout, or injury, derailing long-term goals. Instead of rushing the process, you should focus on small victories: more stamina, more muscle gain, better mood, and better sleep. These small changes mean that your body is adapting and strengthening — all you have to do is trust the process and know that meaningful, long-lasting transformation takes time and dedication. As you continue to reach your goals, pray to God for perseverance and a spirit of contentment.[98]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqEjaSPLdGsCWe 86.3

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 NIVCWe 86.4

“Let your trials be what they will, nothing can seriously injure you if you exercise patience, if you are calm and unexcited when in trying positions...” Ellen White in Our High Calling, p. 70CWe 86.5

Reflect: How can you apply the biblical principles of perseverance and patience to your personal fitness journey?CWe 86.6
