Counsel #2 — Test Of Spiritual Wellness

Picture: Counsel #2 — Test Of Spiritual WellnessCWe 12.1

Jesus said, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me” (John 15:4). The twig isn’t attached to the vine sporadically. Either it’s attached, or it’s not. So must we be constantly connected with Jesus in order to conquer temptation and bear fruit.[9]https://www.ministrymagazine.org/archive/2013/12/abundant-and-abiding-fruit-bearingCWe 12.2

If you are “grafted into the Vine” of Christ, all the fruits of the Spirit will be evident in your life. It’s quite a list! Consider going over each “fruit” in your mind, evaluating if it is consistently observable in your life. Ask God to strengthen any weakness the Spirit points out to you.CWe 12.3

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness self-control.” Galatians 5:22, 23 NKJVCWe 12.4

“When we live by faith on the Son of God, the fruits of the Spirit will be seen in our life; not one will be missing.” Ellen White in The Desire of Ages, p. 676CWe 12.5

Reflect: If you have “missing fruits” in your life, what will you do to make them evident?CWe 12.6
